What your certificate shows

When you pass the last final in a course, we issue a PDF certificate that lists your name and license number, each unit with its hours and the DRE approval number in force on your purchase date, the completion date, and our sponsor number. It's what the DRE's eLicensing renewal asks for, and it stays available in your account in case of a DRE audit.

Why approval numbers have dates

The DRE re-approves course material periodically and issues a new number each time. Your certificate uses the number that was valid when you purchased, which is what the DRE expects to see.
